About Our Approach
Our Aproach
Children as Behavioral Change Agents
Children play a pivotal role as future leaders and ambassadors for Clean Water and Sanitation initiatives.
Our approach to providing school children with proper sanitation, safe water, and hygiene facilities is multifaceted and geared towards long-term transformation. We believe that by ensuring children experience the full benefits of these facilities, they will become advocates for similar practices in their homes and communities. Moreover, we recognize the importance of grooming future leaders who will champion the cause of improved sanitation.
Ultimately, our efforts are aimed at creating long-term transformation, empowering children to become future leaders who prioritize and champion the importance of sanitation, safe water, and hygiene in their communities.
Community Empowerment
Community Engagement
We recognize the importance of ongoing maintenance and repair to ensure the longevity and effectiveness of the facilites we establish. We actively engage in these efforts for we understand that shifting community mindsets towards cleanliness and hygiene takes time. Therefore, we are committed to working tirelessly to not only provide access to essential facilities but also to support the development of a new culture of cleanliness and hygiene within the community.
Capacity Building
We engage with teachers, school staff, and community members to build their capacity in maintaining and managing the facilities. By providing training and support, we ensure that the infrastructure remains functional and effective in the long term.
Wastewater Services
In rural Kenyan schools lacking access to public sewers, effective faecal sludge management is vital. We are dedicated to addressing faecal sludge management challenges. Our initiative involves constructing septic tanks and providing ongoing maintenance services.
Going beyond conventional approaches, we emphasize sustainability by incorporating wastewater recycling and upcycling, turning waste into valuable resources like fertilizers and biogas. This comprehensive strategy aims to improve sanitation, water, and hygiene facilities while contributing to a greener and more prosperous future for these remote communities.
